Meet the Fullerton Team Behind Walt’s Insulation
Walt’s Insulation has been the one down the road in Fullerton since 2000, and the people who show up at your door are the reason that still means something. We’re not a franchise shuffling crews from three counties away. Our Fullerton team lives here, shops at the same grocery stores, and sits in the same 91 freeway traffic you do. They know which Fullerton neighborhoods bake in August and which ones get that weird June gloom marine layer that makes crawl spaces sweat. Most of them have been with us for over a decade. Our People
Mike R. – Lead Technician, Spray Foam & Air Sealing
Mike has been with Walt’s Insulation for 16 years, starting as an installer and working his way up to lead technician. He’s SPFA certified for spray foam application, which means he’s passed the testing on proper mix ratios, temperature parameters, and safe installation practices – the details that separate a foam job that performs from one that off-gasses in your attic. Mike runs most of our Icynene and Demilec open-cell and closed-cell projects in Fullerton. When he’s not in a Tyvek suit, he’s rebuilding a 1972 Chevy C10 in his garage, a project his wife has learned to tolerate over the last nine years.
Sarah T. – Senior Installer, Blown-In & Batt Insulation
Sarah joined the crew nine years ago and handles the bulk of our blown-in fiberglass and cellulose work, along with batt installations using CertainTeed and Knauf products. She’s the one who’ll walk your attic with you before the job and point out exactly where the thermal gaps are – around can lights, over the garage, that one corner where the original builder cheaped out in 1987. Sarah is certified through the Owens Corning installer training program. She grew up in Placentia and has two kids in the Fullerton school district, so she’s personally invested in making local homes comfortable and efficient.
Danny C. – Crawl Space & Vapor Barrier Specialist
Danny is the guy who actually likes crawl spaces, which tells you something about his disposition. He’s been installing crawl space encapsulation and vapor barrier systems with us for 12 years. Danny handles our radiant barrier installations too, and he’s trained on the full Rockwool product line for wall insulation retrofits. He holds a lead-safe renovation certification, which matters when we’re pulling old insulation and sealing attics in Fullerton homes built before 1978. Outside work, Danny runs a small beekeeping operation in his backyard and will talk your ear off about orange blossom honey if you let him.
Luis M. – Service Coordinator & Home Energy Audit Tech
Luis is usually the first voice you’ll hear when you call (657) 216-9948, and the person who schedules your home energy audit. He’s been with us for seven years and is BPI certified as a building analyst, so when he walks your home with a blower door and thermal camera, he knows exactly what the numbers mean for your comfort and your bill. Luis grew up in Anaheim and worked in property management before joining the crew, which is why he’s better than most at explaining insulation to new homeowners with zero frame of reference. He’s also the one keeping the schedule sane on days when three Fullerton attics hit 140 degrees.
